Fairlea, WV (WVDN) – The Master Gardeners 18th Annual Plant Sale was a huge success! Over $2400 was raised and the Master Gardeners would like to thank the public who came out to support the plant sale. The overarching purpose of the Master Gardeners Program is to educate trained volunteers who would then be available to help the public with their gardening challenges. The hallmark of the master gardener’s presence in the community is the Demo Garden at the WV State Fairgrounds in Fairlea. This community facing project requires money every year to maintain the hardscape, planter boxes, raised beds etc. The money raised at the plant sale will go towards the maintenance of this beautiful and educational space.
Stop by the garden sometime and see what’s new and visit us at the State fair in August.
