LEWISBURG W.Va. (WVDN) – Downtown Lewisburg celebrates West Virginia’s birthday, its diversity and its most famous cuisine on June 20 and 22. Everyone is invited to join in at the Green Space at 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, for a community gathering celebrating all who make up this great state.
Enjoy remarks by Mayor Beverly White, a musical presentation featuring the young daughter of one of the area’s most beloved merchants, and a free West Virginia Day cookie.

Attendees at this free event will receive a ballot to cast for the People’s Choice award and relish the sweet sounds of Richard Hefner and the Black Mountain Bluegrass Boys. Grab a refreshing beverage inside the Briergarten while awaiting the awards ceremony at 12:30 p.m.
