GREENBRIER COUNTY W.Va. (WVDN) – June is Elder Abuse Awareness Month. The Family Refuge Center will be hosting its third annual Awareness Walk to bring awareness and prevention to elder abuse, but this year, there’s a twist. The community is invited to participate in a challenge by getting together a team of five for a small registration fee of $25. The team with the most laps will win a prize! Don’t worry if you don’t have a team, this walk is open to everyone. Organizers said, “We would love to see as many people as possible in their purple on June 13!”
To register a team, please reach out to the main office at 304-645-6324.
The walk will be hosted on June 13, starting at noon at the CAMC Greenbrier Valley Hospital Track. There will be resource booths, lunch and refreshments provided.
