OAK HILL, W.Va. (WVDN) – Nashville recording artists, Chad Nickell & The Loose Change, hit the stage this Memorial Day Weekend for a free show at The Lost Paddle Bar & Grill at ACE Adventure Resort in the New River Gorge. The band’s original self-written music, described as “Appalachian Jam,” beautifully meshes everything from heartfelt Americana ballads and honky-tonk bangers to hip-shaking psychedelic jams and even pop sing-a-longs.
In keeping with the group’s loose style, no two shows are the same. Chad Nickell & The Loose Change enthrall audiences with their unscripted shows. Their connection with the crowd leads the way and the band changes up the setlist to match the moment. Each show is a dynamic blend of original music and unexpected cover mash-ups meant to keep the energy flowing.
Chad Nickoll & The Loose Change were named “Best Band” of Blue Ridge Outdoors magazine’s “Best of the Blue Ridge” contest in 2021. Hailing from the mountains of Alleghany County, VA, the band performs throughout Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, and Tennessee.
The free show on Saturday, May 25 is outside on the covered deck of The Lost Paddle Bar & Grill. It starts at 8 p.m. and the music goes on until 11 p.m.
