CHARMCO W.Va. (WVDN) – The West Virginia State Police will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint on U.S. Route 60 (Midland Trail W) in Charmco (Greenbrier County) at the intersection with WV Route 20 (Coalfield Trl) on Thursday, May 23, into May 24, The checkpoint will be in operation between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. The purpose of this is to detect impaired drivers, as well as to educate the public about the dangers of driving an automobile while impaired by alcohol and/or drugs.
The State Police urge the motoring public to assist law enforcement agencies in their efforts to stop driving under the influence incidents by reporting impaired drivers.
