Jack Omar Honaker, 83, of Ronceverte, WV, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at his home after and extended illness.
Born December 28, 1934, in Ronceverte, he was the son of Verdie and Elva Morgan Honaker.
Jack was retired from Hercules and the Army National Guard, and worked for many years at his favorite pastime, selling cars. He was of the Baptist faith and a longtime member of Greenbrier Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Barbara Toothman Honaker; a sister, Lena Hitchcock; and brother, Jimmy Honaker; along with three nieces and three nephews.
Survivors include his sons, Danny Honaker and wife, Leta, Mike Honaker and wife, Lori, and Randy Honaker; daughters, Carol Johnson and husband, Steve, and Susan Hardiman and husband, Leo, all of Ronceverte. He is also survived by four brothers, Joe, Jessie, Jerry, and Jud; sister, Freda Deskins; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at Greenbrer Baptist Church on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at 3 p.m. with Pastor David Deskins and Pastor Mark Shafer officiating. Burial will follow at the Honaker Cemetery on Honaker Cemetery Road in Ronceverte.
Visitation will be held at Greenbrier Baptist Church on Morgan Hollow Road in Ronceverte on Friday evening, June 8, from 6 – 8 p.m.
