Bonnie Boggs Massie, 86, of Ronceverte, WV, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 3, 2018, at Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea, WV.
Bonnie was born on April 27, 1932, in Union, WV, to Lawrence Sr. and Ina Dunbar.
She was a faithful member of Ronceverte Christian Church and worked as a nurse’s aide for many years until she retired. Her biggest job here on Earth was taking care of others.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Forrest E. Massie and Dwight Boggs; grandson, Eric Wayne McCallister; sister, Louise; brothers, Russel, Eddie, Lawrence Jr., and Rasco.
Surviving are her daughters, Tammy Pyne (Tim) and Patty Dolan (Keith); son, Ricky Massie Sr. (Paula); brothers, Delbert Dunbar (Marjorie) and Kenneth Dunbar; step-daughter, Joyce Spence; as well as several stepchildren; grandchildren, Brye Pyne, Carlissa Massie, Caroline Massie, Ricky Massie Jr., Timmy Brannon (Danielle), Amber Brannon, and Kelsey Brannon; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a special friend, Marlin Linton; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Riverview Cemetery in Ronceverte, with Roy Massie Jr. officiating.
A visitation will be held on Monday evening, May 7, from 6–8 p.m. at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations of sympathy be made to Peyton Hospice House 1265 Maplewood Ave, Lewisburg, WV 24901 or Ronceverte Christian Church 240 Gypsy Heights Road, Ronceverte, WV 24970.
