Rosie Marie Tincher Alderson, age 75, of Alderson, WV, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2018, at the Brier Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Ronceverte, WV, following a short illness.
Born April 14, 1942, in Alderson, she was the daughter of Ethel Tincher.
Mrs. Alderson was a homemaker and caregiver, and was of the Baptist faith. She was an election poll worker in Alderson for many years and loved to play the lottery. Mrs. Alderson loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James Fredrick “Heck” Alderson; and her sister, Kathleen Reed Sutton.
Survivors include three sons, James Fredrick “Huck” Alderson II and Tracy of Wilmington, OH, Jeffrey Alan Alderson of Rose Hill, KS, and Darrell Wayne “Tater” Alderson of Alderson; seven grandchildren, Keylan Alderson of Arkansas, Christopher Alderson and Kim of Arkansas, Casey Alderson of Kansas, Cody Alderson of Kansas, Cory Alderson of Kansas, Steven Alderson of Quinwood, WV, and Brandon Alderson of Quinwood; three great-granddaughters, Chloe Marie Alderson of Kansas, Anna Marie Alderson of Arkansas, and Aspen Lea Alderson of Arkansas; special friend and “son,” Edgar Tincher of Alderson; special friend, Mabel Doggett of Alderson; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at 2 p.m. at the River of Life Church of God in Alderson, with the Rev. Gary Trout officiating. Burial will follow at the Alderson Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday, March 13, from 12–2 p.m. at the River of Life Church of God.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
