Noel Corbett Ryder of Alvon, WV, went to be with his Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, October 13, 2017, in Roanoke, VA, surrounded by his children after complications from a stoke.
He was born April 17, 1943, at Northfork, WV, the son of Arick Theodore and Zelda Sue Ryder.
Noel was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He enjoyed singing gospel music at his Friday evening gospel jams and at churches all over. He was a member of the Alvon United Methodist Church and was a retired general manager from David Ryder Contracting Inc.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Anna Gale Lynch Ryder, on August 14, 2016; an infant son, Matthew Eric Ryder; twin infant brothers, Claude and Cleason Ryder; sister-in-law, Naomi Ryder; brother-in-law, Bruce Kersey; nieces, Roberta Ryder and Angela Nelson; and nephew, Joshua Clendenin.
Survivors include his children, Karon Cole (Robert), David Ryder (Sherry), Keith Ryder (Cherie), Sherri Ratliff (Jerry), Regina Dolin (Darin), and Jared Ryder (Bethany); grandchildren, Jessica Bolen (Clayton), Eric Ratliff (Theresa), Matthew Cole (Brooke), Chelsea Ryder, Cassidy Wickline (Parish), Kenslea Davis (Nathan), Kellea Cole, Heather Webb (Dalton), Corbett Ryder, Cameron Ryder, Leah Ryder, Ashley Dolin, Aiden Dolin, Jeremiah Ryder, and Isaiah Ryder; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings include Aciel Ryder (Nancy), Daniel Ryder, Bill Ryder, Darlene Ward, Lilly Nelson (Bud), Inez Stimeling (J.P.), and Brenice McClaughlin; sisters-in-law, Patsy Hollandsworth (Ronnie), Nellie McClintic (Bobby), Vickie Caldwell (Buck), Linda Kersey, Sammy Coleman (Elmer), and Bonnie Spinks (Buck); and brothers-in-law, Henry Lynch (Christie), Mike Lynch (Debbie), and Johnny Lynch (Shirley).
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at Alvon United Methodist Church with the Revs. Bobby McClintic and Buck Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Lynch Family Cemetery in Alvon.
Visitation will be from 6-9 PM on Monday, October 16 at the church in Alvon.
Pallbearers will be David Ryder, Keith Ryder, Jared Ryder, Corbett Ryder, Cameron Ryder, Eric Ratliff, and Matthew Cole.
