COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – May 17 marked another milestone for Covington High School as it crowned the last-ever Mr. CHS and Miss CHS. The program was lovely with all 12 candidates being introduced by Tracey Spangler and Chris Sienkiewicz. The entertainment was wonderful with student Gabriela Taylor playing a Bruno Mars song on her flute, and student Kaitlyn Petrero playing a rendition of “Hallelujah” on her trumpet. Pastor Stephanie Clark opened the entertainment up with an uplifting song and then made many of the audience cry with her wonderful voice and singing “Wind Beneath My Wings” to the 12 contestants. Host Jerome Johnson was a delight with his introduction of the candidates. At the end of the program, Kinley Regan Willis was crowned the last Miss CHS, and Oscar Alexander Perez was crowned the last Mr. CHS.
Contestants for Mr. CHS were Dean Anderson, Luke Conner, Jacob Davis, Isaiah Hubble and Hayden Rodgers.
Contestants For Miss CHS were Laruen Bragg, Aubrey Brown, Gabriyl Marshall, Emma Scott, Brianna Tetreault and Kinley Willis.
