Lil Rhody Labs’ business license was revoked by the Lewisburg City Council during the September meeting. The City Council cited the business license application, which reads “dog breeding” as the nature of the business, which is not permitted in the city’s R0 zoned residential districts. The license was mistakenly issued from the city of Lewisburg earlier this year.
As the code stands, anyone who has any kind of building or home that houess “dogs, cats, or other household pets where keeping, grooming, breeding, boarding, selling, or training of animals is conducted as a business,” would be out of compliance, unless the facitlity or home sits north of Brush Road. Because the code does not mention a minimum number of animals, this also applies to Lil Rhody Labs, which operates out of Stephanie Robert’s home with two breeding dogs, a male and a female.
