Rosanna Dobson, 92, of White Sulphur Springs, WV, formerly of Alderson, WV, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017, at White Sulphur Springs Care Center.
Born July 7, 1925, at Cass, WV, she was the daughter of Frank E. and Fannie Bell Myers Jackson.
Rosanna was a kitchen aide at The Greenbrier and was a domestic worker while living in New York.
She was also a member of the former Shiloh Baptist Church in Alderson.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Frank Edward Jackson; sisters, Hattie C. Hopkins, Beatrice Elston, and Joanne Hayes; and a brother, Promise Hewlett.
Survivors include her daughter, Rose Anna Evans of Queens, NY; son, John Jackson Jr., of White Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Porcha Hollanda of Queens; Tiffany Evans of Queens, Cassandra Grady of Brooklyn, NY, John H. Jackson III of Manhattan, NY, and Alyse Tyki Jackson of Goose Creek, SC; five great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret La Goon of Rochester, NY, and Damita Dulin of Homestead, PA; brothers, Godfrey Hewlett and Henry Hewlett, both of Washington, D.C., and Phillip Dulin of McKeesport, PA; a niece, Mildred Lewis; nephew, Robert A. Hopkins Jr.; and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services is scheduled for Saturday, September 16, 2017, at 11 AM at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs with the Rev. Greg Scott officiating. Burial will follow at the Alderson Cemetery in Alderson.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
