QUINWOOD, W.Va. (WVDN) – Students at Crichton Elementary School spent the week of April 17-21 celebrating its military families.
Purple Up Week celebrates military-connected students. Crichton Elementary has one family who has an active member in the military. Students Madelyn and Mathew Parker helped celebrate their dad, Aaron Parker, who is an active United States National Guard member.
Aaron Parker and other veterans visited Crichton to speak with the students about the importance of patriotism. Students participated in spirit week activities and had a visit from Greenbrier West JROTC. They ended the week by welcoming veterans and treating them to a delicious breakfast.
