Atz Graham

Atz Graham, 76, of Alvon, passed away on April 20, 2023, at General Division of CAMC in Charleston.

He was born January 24, 1947, on Johnson Creek, VA, and was the son of the late Acie C. and Dessie M. Fain Graham.

During his working years, he worked on the Back Creek Dam project with Daniels Construction, then to Utah for several months. Atz did handyman work, before being employed by Rainbow Lumber Company; after it closed, he worked for the City of White Sulphur Springs.

Atz was a true mountain man, spending most of his free time and retirement on the family farm on Allegheny Mountain. He was always building and fixing something, but he had a love for gardening.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by several half siblings.

Surviving Atz are his brothers, Kenwood (Diana) Graham and McKimmon (Darlene) Graham; sister-in-law, Tina Tucker Graham; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Graham will be Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at 1 p.m. at the Alvon Living Word Church with Pastor Buck Caldwell officiating. Interment will follow at the Graham Family Cemetery on Allegheny Mountain.

The family will receive family and friends 11:30 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday at the church.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bob Graham, Ron Graham, Rick Graham, Andrew Graham, Justin Graham, and Jacob Meadows.
