Suzette McQueen Rodgers, 67, of Crockett, VA, passed away Friday, June 30, 2017, at her home.
She was born in Shields, KY, on August 6, 1949, the daughter of the late Roy Allen McQueen and Grace Cleo Clem McQueen.
Suzette was a member of the King’s Grover United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Fred D. “Freddie” Rodgers Jr.; her children, Shannon Doyle Rodgers and wife, Christy, of Wytheville, VA, Delena Rodgers Fletcher of Mt. Airy, NC, Fred D. Rodgers III and significant other, Nichole Hernandez, of North Wilkesboro, NC, and Allen Homer Rodgers and wife, Amber, of Wichita, KS; 11 grandchildren; sisters, Nella McQueen Wilson and husband, Clayton, of Marshall, NC, and Christal Snyder and husband, Bill, of Gay, WV; brother, Tony McQueen and companion, Molly Hugh, of Middleton, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family received friends at the Lindsey Funeral Home in Rural Retreat, VA, on Monday, July 3, 2017, from 6-8 PM.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, July 5, at the Elizabeth Chapel United Methodist Church at Organ Cave, WV, with the Rev. Shari Stilgenbauer and Michael Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12 noon until service time on Wednesday.
