During the week of July 6, 2022, the newly-elected officer team and leadership development event regional winners attended the state FFA convention at Cedar Lakes in Ripley.
Members attended a variety of sessions, workshops and competitive events.
Keilei Christain competed in the upperclassmen creed speaking contest placing second in the state; Mya Monroy competed in the freshman creed speaking contest, placing third in the state; and Emma Helmick competed in prepared public speaking.
Emma Helmick, Jagger McNeely, Luke Fogus, Makayla Walton, Anthony Wylie, Mason Kincaid, Kiersten Baker and Olivia Simms received their state FFA degree during the Saturday session.
The following members were awarded state-level proficiency first place awards: Carmen Fogus in poultry production, Jagger McNeely in diversified livestock production, Emma Kesterson in beef production placement and Makayla Walton in swine production.
Eight members were chosen to become delegates and helped to elect the new state officer team.
