Hazel May Hoke Jackson, 73, of Fairlea, WV, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016, at her home.
She was born August 15, 1942, in Hollywood, Monroe County, WV, to Jahue Ivan Hoke and Hattie Jane Hall.
Hazel was a proud and loving member of the Greenbrier Valley Church of the Nazarene, where she was a part of the ladies’ group, “Gals of GVCN.” She retired from Appalachian Electronic Instruments Inc.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Betty Hoke and Violet Hoke; and brothers, Junior Hoke, Elba Hoke, Wilbur Hoke, Lonnie Hoke, Ulysses Hoke, and Henry Hoke.
Survivors include her daughters, Catherine J. Wolcott of Fairlea and April D. Simms and partner, Fritz, of Ronceverte, WV; son, Jahue L. Wolcott and wife, Brenda, of Roanoke, VA; brothers, Roy, Willie, and Charlie Hoke, all of Hollywood; and three grandchildren, Katlyn, Janet, and Trace Simms.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at 2 PM at Greenbrier Valley Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Glen Thaxton officiating. Burial will follow at the Fairview Christian Church Cemetery in Keenan, WV.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1 PM until time of the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a local charity to help the families of the ones lost in the recent flood.
