Home Rule Could Allow Lewisburg to Implement ‘Brunch Bill’ Before November

With street fairs and festivals in mind, the Lewisburg City Council plans to apply for home rule status regarding the “brunch bill.” In early May, Governor Earl Ray Tomblin signed into law what is commonly known as the brunch bill, which allows restaurants, private clubs and wineries to sell alcoholic beverages beginning at 10 AM on Sundays.
