Frances Dale Jameson Goodall, 94, of Ronceverte, WV, passed away at 10:15 PM on Monday, June 6, 2016, at St. Vincent-Jennings Hospital in North Vernon, IN.
Born October 2, 1921, in Ronceverte, she was the daughter of Alfred Henderson Morris and Daisy Luella Reed Morris.
She married John Dillon Jameson on July 23, 1938, in Ronceverte. He preceded her in death on September 8, 1963. In 1968, she married Frank Watson “Buster” Goodall, who preceded her in death in February 1970.
Frances retired in 1977 after 23 years as a federal corrections officer at the Federal Reformatory for Women in Alderson, WV, and also assisted her first husband in the operation of Greenbrier State Forest. She was a loyal member and devoted worker of Trinity United Methodist Church in Ronceverte and enjoyed her Philathea Circle and her Sunday School class. For 25 years, she loyally delivered recordings of Sunday church services to nursing homes and shut-ins. She also loved to square dance and enjoyed life to the fullest. Her greatest enjoyment came from being with her family and watching CNN. She will be missed by all the people whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; three brothers, Paul, Dolphus, and Robert Morris; one sister, Dorothy Sisk; two stepchildren, Vera Perry and Shelly Hoke; and a daughter-in-law, Delores Jameson.
She is survived by two sons, John Jameson (Joyce) of North Vernon and Dale Jameson of Lewisburg, WV; stepchildren, Kenneth Goodall (Rachel) of Alderson, WV, Shirley Kramer (Dan) of West Chester, PA, and Sharon Moore (Charles) of Paoli, PA; five grandchildren, Adam Jameson (Lindsey) of Union, WV, Stacey Austin (Steve) of Lewisburg, Jay Jameson of Houston, TX, Jeff Jameson of Louisville, KY, and Jill Jameson of Madison, WI; and five great-grandchildren, Grace Sealey and Nathan Hawkey of Lewisburg and Tiffany, Ashley, and Dylan Jameson, all of Union.
Services are scheduled for Friday, June 10, 2016, at 1 PM at Trinity United Methodist Church in Ronceverte with Pastor David Stilgenbauer officiating. Interment will follow in Hoke Chapel Cemetery, Ogles Creek Road, Covington, VA.
The family will receive friends Thursday, June 9, from 6-8 PM at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte.
