James Albert “Al” Arbuckle, 68, of Max Meadows, VA, went to rest high on the mountain on Wednesday, April 27, 2016.

Al was born in Ronceverte, WV, on January 31, 1948, to the late John B. and Ann S. Arbuckle of Lewisburg.

James Albert “Al” Arbuckle, 68, of Max Meadows, VA, went to rest high on the mountain on Wednesday, April 27, 2016.

Al was born in Ronceverte, WV, on January 31, 1948, to the late John B. and Ann S. Arbuckle of Lewisburg.

He was a 1965 graduate of Greenbrier Military School in Lewisburg, WV, and VPI with an industrial engineering degree in 1969. Al was a true mountain man who appreciated all of the beautiful wonders of nature and animals.

Those left to cherish Al’s memory are his wife, Ejay; and his many dogs and cats; brother, John B. Arbuckle Jr. and wife, Elizabeth, of Lewisburg; son, J. Stuart Arbuckle and wife, Jill, of Christiansburg, VA; daughter, Edith A. Wine of Mt. Lebanon, PA; three grandsons; and two granddaughters.

Please, join the family for a celebration of life on Saturday, June 11, 2016, at 11AM at Clifton Presbyterian Church in Maxwelton, WV, with the Rev. Janice Fraser, family, and friends.

Horne Funeral Services & Crematory Inc. in Christiansburg is in charge of arrangements.
