Darrell James Sturgell, 73, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016, at Woodbridge, VA, after a long illness.
Born April 20, 1943, in Frankford, WV, he was the son of Bennie and Ethel Sturgell.
Darrell owned and operated the Dumfries Collision Center for many years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Irene Dotson and Donna Bell Walker; and brothers, Junior Sturgell, Gerald Sturgell, Cecil Sturgell, and Carlton Sturgell.
He is survived by his daughters, Tammy Roberts and Rhonda Sturgell, both of Woodbridge; granddaughters, Krystal Vazquez and husband, Jorge, of Jacksonville, NC, Avery Byrd, Ariana Carrington, and Teembra Johnson of Woodbridge; a grandson, Josh James of Woodbridge; great-grandson, Charlie Bolanos of Jacksonville; brothers, Curtis Sturgell of Tampa, FL, and Herman Sturgell and wife, Louise, of Ronceverte, WV; sisters, Lucille Blankenship of North Carolina, Marie Hilderbrand of Richmond, VA, Betty Boyd of Richmond, and Cathy Sturgell of Fairmont, WV; as well as a long list of nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews who loved him dearly.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, May 14, 2016, at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg, WV. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Lewisburg.
Visitation will be from 7-9 PM on Friday, May 13, at the funeral home.
