Hubert Franklin Pring III, 72, of Bassett, VA, passed away Monday, May 30, 2016.
He was born June 23, 1943, in Goldsboro, NC, to Hubert Franklin Pring Jr. and Sarah Sue Simms Pring.
Mr. Pring served in the Navy and retired from the Army Reserves as staff sergeant E-6. He was employed by the Henry County School System, where he taught and coached all sports (primarily football). He was also an avid golfer at Beaver Hills Golf Course.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Erin Suzanne Pring.
Mr. Pring is survived by his wife, Donna C. Pring of the home; son, Jason Zachary Pring of Wilmington, NC; brother, Bob Pring and wife, Kathy, of Tuscon, AZ; sister, Helen Gibbens of Alexandria, LA; and golfing buddies at Beaver Hills Golf Club.
Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Friday, June 3, 2016, at Collins Funeral Home in Bassett.
A graveside service is scheduled for Monday, June 6, at 1 PM at Clifton Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Maxwelton, WV.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Greenbrier Humane Society.
Collins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
McCraw Funeral Home in Lewisburg, WV, is in charge of local arrangements.
