Michael Lee Poe, 56, of Williamsburg, WV, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016, after a long illness.
Born March 28, 1960, in Ronceverte, WV, he was the son of Emanuel and Phyllis Poe of Williamsburg.
He was a 1978 graduate of Greenbrier East High School in Fairlea, WV. He also attended National Trucking Academy in 1987 and had various jobs, including truck driving, maintenance, security, weatherization, and produce. Some of his hobbies included fishing, reading, gardening, and listening to heavy metal music.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Bill.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Drema Poe of Middletown, OH; son, Aaron Poe (Courtney McCoy) of Williamsburg; daughter, Rebekah Kirby (Briton) of Alderson, WV; the mother of his children, Karen Kelly of Lewisburg, WV; four nephews; and two grandnieces.
A memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at 7 PM at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg with the Rev. Denver Tiller officiating.
Visitation will be from 6-7 PM prior to the service.
