As of today, West Virginians can legally purchase and use ‘consumer fireworks,’ which include sky rockets and bottle rockets, among others. The West Virginia Legislature passed House Bill 2852 during the 2016 regular session, making it legal for the sale and purchase of such fireworks. Hand-held and ground-based sparkling devices, such as hand sparklers and fountains, have been lawful in West Virginia since 2006.
