Wilbur Curtis Arnold Sr., 76, of White Sulphur Springs, WV, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2015, at Raleigh General Hospital following a long illness.
Wilbur and his twin brother, William, were born to the late William and Anna Mae Raspberry Arnold on August 12, 1939, in Xenia, OH.
Wilbur was a lively spirit who was loved by many. He had a passion for old-fashioned cars, the blues, and Westerns. He retired from The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs after 30 years as a houseman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, William, who died at birth; sisters, Christina Cardwell and Geraldine Ward; and brother, Vernon.
He is survived by his wife, Deloris Ann Arnold; his brothers, Richard “T Bone” Arnold and wife, Velma, and Benny Arnold; daughter, Nannette Arnold; sons, Wilbur Arnold Jr., Michael Arnold and wife, Alejandra, John Arnold and wife, Heather, and Tony White; six granddaughters, Tasha Arnold, Kristina Ward and husband, Chad, Jaqueia Dickerson, Jasmine Arnold, Desiree Arnold, and Aryadna Arnold; two great-grandchildren, Colton Ward and Leonidas Hutcheson; and five nephews, Michael Jackson, Douglas Cardwell, Barry Cardwell, C.J. Arnold, and Aaron Arnold.
A visitation will be held Thursday, October 22, 2015, from 6-8 PM at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg, WV.
His body will be cremated following the visitation.
