Shirley Jean Ray, 76, of Frankford, WV, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at the General Division CAMC in Charleston, WV.

She was born April 5, 1938, in Greenbrier County, WV, a daughter of the late Lloyd F. and Ruby Frances Boggs Rutherford.

Shirley was a member of Band of Hope Baptist Church, worked at Kellwood, and was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ray.

She is survived by two daughters, Julie Morrison and husband, Robert, of Frankford and Betty Thornton and husband, Kevin, of Frankford; and three grandchildren, Tommy Morrison of Renick, WV, Amy Windon of Lewisburg, WV, and Autumn Thornton of Renick.

A visitation will be held Sunday, February 22, 2015, from 5-7 PM at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg followed by a funeral service at 7 PM with the Rev. Youel Altizer officiating.

Graveside services will be at 11 AM on Monday, February 23, at Morningside Cemetery in Renick.

The family would like to give special thanks to Northern Greenbrier Ambulance Service for the care and attention they gave to Shirley.

The family suggests that donations of sympathy be made to Northern Greenbrier Ambulance Service Inc., 125 Water Street, Frankford, WV 24938.

Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg is in charge of arrangements.
