Monford Warrell Hanna, 83, of Spring Creek, WV, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2014, at his home.
Born May 13, 1931, at Rainelle, WV, he was the son of the late Baxter and Mary Freeman Hanna.
Monford served in the U.S. Army Air Force and was a painter most of his working life.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Norman and Glenn Hanna; granddaughter, Gee-Gee Hanna; and a stepson, Lee Blake Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Hanna; children, Mike Hanna and Debby and Monford Hanna Jr. and Peggy of Front Royal, VA, Roberta Holobaugh and Curt of California, Robert Hanna and Vanessa and Mary Ann Singer of Texas, Donna Collins and Kevin and Patsy Hanna of Georgia, and Sheila Blake of Slaty Fork, WV; stepchildren, Ressie Windon of Maxwelton, WV, and Kevin Blake and Mary of Maxwelton; 23 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial will be at 1 PM on Friday, January 2, 2015, at Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Lewisburg, WV, with the Rev. Ron Miller officiating.
Visitation will be from 11 AM-12:30 PM on Friday, January 2, at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg.
